Part of the Reggio Emilia Approach to early childhood education is to let children guide the learning, and let their curiosity decide the themes of curriculum — our newest member of KayCare is fascinated with wheels and things that spin… This has inspired me to make our theme for September “WHEELS” — we can sing “wheels on the bus” and read books about Otis the tractor… We can play with cars and trains and trucks… We can paint with wheels!… We will continue our wagon rides and work on colors and shapes— we can incorporate wheels into many activities… A lot of fun things to do--and always--we will be learning through play!
