PreK 3-4 for August 2022

🐜🐞🪲Bugs & Butterflies🐛🦋📯

All of our playing outside in the water and mud over summer we couldn’t help but notice all the bugs! Ants, butterflies, dragonflies and other critters. We have a butterfly garden and an ant farm–caterpillars and ants have been ordered, and we’ll set them up ASAP. We have books and puzzles and toys on the life cycles of bugs and butterflies. We will incorporate them into as many literacy, math and science activities as we can! We will also be working on uppercase letters for our names and lowercase letters in the order recommended for sight word recognition. With the hot weather–we will also still have splash days and plenty of unstructured fun.

Remember every day we have ️ 🌳 outdoor time and 📚 literacy. Every week we do 🎶music and 💃movement . We have centers for dramatic play, balls, various manipulatives, and table work (IE Montessori style and Loose Parts etc), music, toys and books.
