Toddler Activity Schedule for June 2020

The Reggio Emilia approach is to follow children’s lead. One of our KayCare kids is finding elephants and making a great elephant sound! He finds them in toys, books and even on diapers boxes! Therefore our next theme has to be:

🐅🐘🦒Safari Animals 🦏🦓🐊

Our sensory bin will be filled with green, yellow and blue rice and safari animals toys. We have a great safari animal puzzle and lots of safari animals to play with. We will sing songs like “We’re going on a Safari'' to practice our animal sounds and read books like At The Zoo. We’ll also incorporate safari animals into multiple activities below:

Remember every day we have ️ 🌳 outdoor time and 📚 literacy. Every week we do 🎶music and 💃movement . We have centers for dramatic play, balls, various manipulatives, Montessori work (IE smelling jars), music, toys and books. And every weekday we do a themed activity schedule below:

Mondays: Fine Motor 🖖and Sensory 🖐

1st and 3rd Tuesday:Colors 🎨

2nd and 4th Tuesday: Letters 📚✏

Wednesday: Art and Dictation 🖼📝

1st and 3rd Thursday: Shapes ⭕️

1st and 3rd Thursday: Numbers🎲

Friday: Teacher Choice 👩‍🏫
