Toddler Activity Schedule for April 2020

The latest circumstances may somewhat limit our resources, but also simply allow us to return to the basics. We will continue to work on curriculum that uses the materials we already have on hand with a focus on:

⭕️ 🔲 🔶 Shapes and Colors 🖍 🔵 🎨

We will review primary colors by doing scavenger hunts and painting with those objects. We will mix paint in sensory bags and shaking boxes to make art with secondary colors. We will sort toys by colors. We will read and sing about colors and shapes. We will identify shapes with our touch-n-feel tiles and then use stencils and contact paper to make shapes with markers and chalk. We will play with shapes in shaving cream and playdough. We will continue to work on 2 year old and 3 year old milestones with all the activities below:

Remember every day we have ️ 🌳 outdoor time and 📚 literacy. Every week we do 🎶music and 💃movement . We have centers for dramatic play, balls, various manipulatives, Montessori work (IE smelling jars), music, toys and books. And every weekday we do a themed activity schedule below:

Monday: Colors 🎨

Tuesday: Shapes ⭕️

Wednesday: Sensory 🖐

Thursday: Fine Motor 🖖

Friday: Gross Motor 🤾‍♀️
