PreK 3 for August 2021

👦👩🏽‍🤝‍🧑🏼 👩‍👩‍👦Me & My Community 👩‍🏫👮‍♂️👩‍🚒

To begin our “Pre-K 3” school year we will focus on “Me in My Community.” The first week will be “All about Me”--including books like What I Like About Me and making self portraits. We will then move onto talking about “Our Families”: reading books about different families, looking at our photobook of KayCare families, and making a picture frame for a family photo. The final two weeks will focus on “Community Helpers” like firefighters, police, doctors, and teachers like Miss Kay! We already finished our introduction to all 26 letters of the alphabet, so now we will continue by focusing on the letters in our names and a new focus on sight words.

Remember every day we have ️ 🌳 outdoor time and 📚 literacy. Every week we do 🎶music and 💃movement . We have centers for dramatic play, balls, various manipulatives, and table work (IE Montessori style and Loose Parts etc), music, toys and books.
