Parent Communication

Parent communication is very important. Of course I will be greeting you every morning to hear updates from home, and I will be telling you about your kid's day when you pick-up. I will also let you know at pick-up if you are running low on supplies like diapers and wipes. The "daily sheets" explained below are an added preference of mine that are easily accessible to parents if they choose.
I will be recording details of your child's day into a live Google Document "daily sheet" that you will exclusively have the link to. You can check the "daily sheets" at your convenience and as frequently as you choose. I will try to update logs when the kids are down for naps mid-day, but because supervision is priority, I may not be able to update logs until the end of each day. The live online document allows you to check daily, weekly, monthly-your choice. The newest daily log will always be on top with the subsequent days underneath. See an example here:

I will also be snapping pictures of our KayCare activities daily. I will try to upload at least one picture/day to a Shared Google Album that only you and other KayCare parents can access. See an example here:

I will check/respond to KayCare emails Monday-Friday. I do log-off from KayCare email on weekends for family time. I also ask that parents respect my family time and only call on weekends if there is an emergency. Of course if you need to call Sunday evening to inform me of an unexpected Monday absence--this is completely understandable.
Keeping open lines of communication is key to working together as your child learns and grows at KayCare.
